Our Rotarian Tom Woelper had a wonderful poem:
“And now we pause in sorrow, as heaven gains a light—
Marilyn Perry, dear friend and leader, has taken final flight.
Past-President and mentor, with spirit warm and kind,
Her legacy of service leaves footprints deep behind.
She welcomed all with warmth and grace, at meetings large and small,
Her helping hands were always there, responding to each call.
Her vibrant spirit showed us how to live life full and true,
A beacon of what Rotary’s best service aims to do.
Though now we grieve her passing, her memory guides our way,
In every act of kindness, we honor her each day.
For Marilyn showed us clearly what service means at heart:
It’s giving all you have to give, till heaven bids you part.”
